Flat-water back-flip trim?

Is it nesisary to have a trim sys for flat water back flip's or is it just motor.
I was under the impression that hp is the key with the right setup wake..

I just got the Thrust Innovations straight pull set up, should be here this week!!! I have researched this to the end of the world-and Jeremy Parr could have anything he wants and he is using Thrust/straight. Figure I can't go wrong!
