Other Flat pistons vs Domed pistons

What are the advantages/disadvantages? I assume flat deck motor means flat pistons?

flat top pistons will dissapate heat faster in the combustion chamber thus improving overall power and performance.
they were very popular in past race and freestyle engine when AM cylinders were not available
