Well, I did a lot of work on my 650 over winter and am very pleased in how it turned out. I would have been fine riding that ski, but I made the mistake of riding a couple of friends built SJ. Now I am not happy with the 650 and trying to sell it to pay for my new ski!
Last weekend, I picked up my new ski. It is a 96 RN SJ. I got it in peices, but all of them are there. I need to do a top end on the motor and slap everthing back together. It should be on the water by next weekend (14/15).
The hull is an old race ski from wamiltons. It was reinforced on the top half and bond line filled in. It is also setup for trim when I come up with the cash to throw at that. It also has sponsons. It came with worx dominator ride plate, solas concord 13-18, solas intake grate, MSD enhancer, Speedwerx girdled head, Speedworx dry pipe, lighten stock flywheel, hand holds that need to be glued in (everything is cut), the air inlets on the hood are plugged in the front and opened up in the back, -2 shorten stock pole, stock turn plate is cut about and inch shorter and handlebars moved forward, UMI 0* bars, and an alum. finger throttle. I am sure there is some things I am missing too.
As of now, the motor is at the shop getting bored and I will have it back midweek next week. In the mean time, I cut holes in the tray for some REV's and at the same time putting in a oneway. I epoxyed the oneway in last night and installing the rest of the REV's this weekend. I will post picks later tonight.
