it's always choppy in the afternoon... sometimes it cleans up right before dark due to less heat...

It's the heat of the day makes stuff stat moving around

I think a friend of mine will have his 26ft Donzi/proline out there for the day to chill on as well..... Maybe some chicks :biggrin:<--- the guys married... but i got some girls that like to hang

WTF :shrug: Let me see if I got this straight. The heat makes the wind blow onshore? I know the sea breeze usually pics up as the day goes on but I never thought that heat actually makes baby waves (chop). J/K

If my wife comes out I can bring one. If it stays clean I'll get her out there on the couch to take pics and/or video. If it's choppy, I'll get her on the beach with the zoom lens.

heat of the day is what causes a lot of the wind to blow..


[SIZE=+1]The source of wind energy is solar heating. The sun heats the earth's surface unequally. The heat gathered by land masses and large bodies of water is also released, thereby warming the air above them. However, water does not heat up as quickly as land. Because water has a higher heat capacity than land, it requires more incoming solar radiation to heat a body of water to the same degree as it does to heat a land mass. Water also releases its heat less readily than land. As a result, in response to solar heating the air over large bodies of water typically remains cooler than the air over continental land masses.[/SIZE] [SIZE=+1]Along the coast, sea breezes form when the light, heated air over land masses rises and the heavy, cool air over the ocean moves onshore to replace it. :hail::hail::hail: Never looked at it that way. But I do know that you get the glass off just before dusk.
