First hood mods ... Rn Sj

looks like you have a nicely painted hood...best way to do handholds without messing it up would be too go with the blowsion drop in handholds. Kinda price but they would be a clean install.

Stock liner works just fine...just make sure to block off the front vents to help prevent water from getting in.

you can leave them as is if you want...many people have...but you can open them up as well to help compensate for the front. Either way you should be fine...if it was my boat, I would open them up a bit.

If I w3as doing handholds into an OEM hood, I'd lower it at the same time. You will need a full repaint and an aftermarket nosepiece.

Its a long process to lower a hood and make it look good, buts it worth it.

Just to let you know, I have a stock hood for sale that has a hand hold in it on the right side, the front intakes have been blocked off and the rear enlarged, also come with the fire extinguisher compartment, the liner has also been replaced with a much lighter one. The hood weighs in at 17lbs. It just has some chips out of the paint, but I would assume you would paint it to match your ski. Just sand it and spray it black and would be a great hood. $100 to your door!
