first barrel roll

I did my first barrel roll yesterday (on pure accident).

I was going wot on flat water, seeing how fast my 701 is, when a couple two foot waves came out of no where in front of me. I hit the first one at the top and started to lean to the left, as i tried to throw my weight to the right there was the second wave and I through my weight right as i came off the top of wave two and rolled. stupid me did not let go. I do not have foot holds or lifters so when i started to go upside down my feet came out of the tray and i was doing a superman behind the ski. my head hit the water on the way by and ripped my goggles off. i landed right side up being drug by the ski. my ski would not accelerate and was vibrating pretty bad. I was afraid i broke a motor mount. got to the boat ramp flipped the ski up and there where my goggles, the ski must have landed on them after my head hit the water.

I now know the concept of the barrol roll. I need to get some lifters so i can stay in the tray.

All i can say is WHAT A RUSH IT WAS!!!!!!

when i was upside down all i could think of was my handle pole breaking from the redneck patch job i did after the galveston ride. patch job held and pole still in one piece.

definately should not have been wot and never tried a barrel roll because of no lifters or foot holds.

scared the poop out of me at first, but not much i could do at the point of no return.

i would have loved to get a pic of my face when i started to flip. would be a great avatar.

need to get lifters so i can stay in the tray. back was pretty sore after getting twisted around with out expecting it. but i will definatly try it again.
