Super Jet Filling in crossover

I have read a bunch of threads about filling in crossover, but just wanted to hear peoples opinion on how hard is it to tune after filled. And if anyone has a starting point. Im running a Jetmaniac/blue motor with dual 38's. Ive already spoke to art and Blue. They gave me good info. I was just second guessing myself about this mod.

I could not get my 44's properly tuned until I filled the cross over. night and day difference.

i tuned my very first set of carbs with the crossover filled.

What about that skinny alum plate ? Do you need to put that back after its filled?

i not sure if this is the case for all but my carbs where jetted for my crossover being filled.

On my stock 38s it ran better with the crossover left open. So if anyone wants to buy a manifold off an '04 filled in....Pm me.

this seems to be a result of it not being jetted properly...

there is a lot of debate on it in that thread. all i know is Art recommended the crossover be filled and the carbs jetted properly. its not an opinion that jetworks is one of the best out there.

every builder has there own recipe for power thou... the wrong ingredients can make crapy power even if they are top notch. this is why one guy mad every decision on my ski.

No doubt. But for what may have been a negligible gain, if any, I'd rather not mess with jetting. The ski ran perfectly with the crossover open, so I switched back to the stock open one. Call it laziness or fear of making things worse, but I hate messing with carbs.

I believe all then new intakes don't have crossovers....probably a reason for that

actually matt and someone else said they have had aftermarket intakes with crossovers. but ya, most dont and i do believe it improves pulse signals after a 30 min covo with Art yesterday.
