Ok i posted this exact same msg on Pwctoday and didnt get one single response. so im guessing i'll get more help on this board. here's the deal:

First question: ok in this video, http://www.davearnoldlive.com/video/warner.wmv i noticed a sitdown has a lever on the right and left grip.. of course the one on the right is the throttle, but what is the one on the left? trim?

2.) Im taking my superjet to florida in May so i need to know what to take with me. Also, if its registered in Ky, will it be legal on the ocean? I know i need to get a flush kit too. Am i forgetting anything?

3.) Will driving it up onto the beach hurt anything? I guess it will "sand off" some paint off the hull, but anything else i should know about riding in the ocean? Ill be riding by myself, but there are virtually no waves at all normally.

4.)Any reason i might need to take my wetsuit?

1. Either trim or clutch. :)
2. Lanyard, whistle, fire extenguisher, helmet, tow rope would help. Yes it's legal.
3. The sand won't really hurt the hull much. I would advise to NOT ride by yourself in the ocean.

a brake or a clutch on a jetski is just crazy to me. never even considered it.

as for not riding by yourself, i defintely agree. But i cant leave my superjet at home, she would never forgive me :biggrin: its at longboat key (the gulf side) so the conditions shouldnt be any worse than riding on a big lake right?

i would just make sure someone who you are with knows were your riding, when your gonna be back, and even better have them watch you or atleast keep an eye out if they are near the beach. Dont do anything stupid, the ocean can get serious quick if you dont know what your doing, storms come up, tide may hide something out and you may run ground back in, ski may die and take ya out to see forever, hah.

I was in Daytona holding a ski coughing out saltwater one minute and the next I was sitting on the sandy bottom under the water with the ski rolling over the top of me holding me down when I thought, "You know, Mike . . . you could drown here." :skull2: :bigeyes:

yea that sucks. Hopefully someone will be watching the whole time. The condo is like a 2 minute walk from the beach. and the boat ramp is about 5 min drive. I dont have a beach cart so i guess I'll have to put it in and take it out everytime i want to ride.

the yami 4-strokes have that too. Its the trim lock. To adjust it, you squeeze it down, and them turn the handlebar clockwise or counter clockwise to adjust it up or down.
