Factory Pipe welding ????

What welding wire do you use to weld a 5052-O Aluminum Factory pipe limited chamber. Waiting on Cindy to call us back while on way to welding shop.

friend broke his at the welding seams banging it in some with a hammer...are u supposed to heat them some before the hammer time ?

Just went out in the plant and asked two of our 25 year welders both had the same answer.

Sorry to ask but....Welding supply store is asking will 5056 work ? they do not have the other...thx

Sanitary Tig the pipe do not mig it use the green tungsten with aluminum rod It works alot better. Trust me I've had my migs break before but never the sanitary welds

If he's an experience welder he should know to use the higher Mg filler for the 5052 alloy.

is that green tungsten steel ? that mixes with the aluminum rod for added strength ?

No tungsten is the welding electrode best way I can describe it. It's what sends the spark out to complete the ground the green is pure tungsten

I had one of my headpipes tig'd back to life. Held up well for 3 moths that I ran it last year. And no, FP would not warrentty it.
