Factory pipe vs Riva Red

My Riva Red pipe sprung a leak on the bottom side ( I think at a weld point - can't see it until I pull pipe out ) . Since I have the pipe out - was thinking about replacing it with a Factory pipe . Is there a MAJOR advantage to replacing with a Factory pipe ? I know next to zilch about mechanics and carburetors . Also, if I do replace with a Factory , will I need to pay someone to rejet the carb ? The ski is a 1994 sn with jet maniac conversion . I pretty much just do casual free style .

Reliable is going to be a big one. A b pipe installed correctly will stay together for a long time.

Those rivas are always rattling apart, at least from what I have seen around here.

You will be able to dry out the exhaust allot more with the b pipe, gaining crispness and it will hit a bit harder.
