Factory Pipe Superjet Limited Chamber questions

I have two Factory Pipe Limited chambers and the stinger on one of the chambers is welded on at about a 30 degree offset where as the other is straight. Can anyone tell me why the stingers are welded on in different orientations?

Also, on Factory Pipe's website, they describe two different versions of their superjet Limited pipe, one for the 94-95 SJ and another for the 96-present SJ. What is the difference between the two exhaust systems?

Thanks in advance,

Eric.

Angled stinger is for the Squarenose Superjet hull, straight for the Roundnose hull. Both will work as far as performance goes, just use what fits the best.

I have a square nose limited chamber that is angled in my RN. It hits the side of the hull but does fit. The straight one will fit alot better.

The B pipe I bought new in 94 that I am still running to this day on my RN had the angled stinger. It was always a PIA and constantly rubbed the hull and the gas tank on the SN. It nearly wore through the hull so I had it shortened into a mod length chamber and straightend the stinger while it was at the weld shop. This solved all of my problems. I would think that the straight stinger would be best no matter what model it was used on.

Was putting my B-pipe in with the limited chamber in a 2006 SJ and I'm having all kinds of fit issues with the stinger end of the pipe hitting the side of the hull, kinking the hose to the waterbox and generally not fitting well. Stumbled on this thread and my limited pipe has the "angled" stinger exit...so I'm assuming this is a SN pipe (701)? Is the second pipe in the picture below a SJ SN 650 limited pipe?

Any clarification is greatly appreciated and or suggestions to get the chamber to fit and connect to the waterbox, thanks!

You are correct with both of your observations. That is an early 701 limited chamber with the angled stinger and the second chamber is a 650 chamber. I ended up using a section of an OEM exhaust hose that turns at a sharper angle with a short ~1.5 - 2" section of the silicone coupler on the stinger to increase the O.D. to match up to the I.D. of the hose going into the water box. Unfortunately the hose still rubs on the side of the hull.
