Factory pipe problems

Having a problem with my sxi. It's running really hot. Blown up twice. It has msd enhancer, milled stock head, factory pipe limited, aftermarket flywheel, vforce reeds, rd intake grate, and Impros prop. It tends to sizzle on the bolts that hold the headpipe to the manifold. Anyone ever have this or care to put in there input? I've already cleaned the carbs and readjusted them, keep messing with the water jets, blew through the cooling lines.

have you pulled all the water injection screws out of the pipe and poked a drill bit through to ensure they arent blocked over with carbon so even if you think you are injecting water you arent?

otherwise it sounds like the exhaust water jackets are blocked causing the manifold to overheat

Yes I've taken them out and cleaned them. Also put a hose to it. Off the ski and opened the screws and water injecting in the pipe. How could the water jackets get blocked and how do I check it

I've also seen people make the mistake of cutting holes in the gasket between the manifold and the head pipe. This gasket should be sealed, otherwise you could be preventing the flow of water and overheating your ski.

That's a model of a Coffman pipe, but the water routing should essentially the same. Yes, both pissers off the head; one off the T in the line to the stinger.

What's parallel cooling ?

Dual cooling - 2 lines from pump to manifold. Double the cooling. Water goes though the motor and then that water cools the pipe.

Parrallel cooling - 1 line from the pumo to the manfold and the other to the pipe. The pipe and the engine are segregated from each other and never mix this lets the pipe get a lot of fresh cold water that hasnt been preheated by the engine.

Not saying its the solution, but water routing changes performance, so you can try it.
