Factory Dry pipe type 4 mounting

I bought the ski with what looks like a Type 4 Factory dry pipe with 1 bolt coming out of the head holding it on with a piece of water line over it as a make shift Lord bushing ?

i added a second bolt and sandwiched the top exhaust mount with some rubber pieces and both bolts broke clean off in the head within 10 minutes of riding

I'm going to install a new stock head and try to figure what Lords to use as thats what i see in pics, i think the head holes are 1.25 thread M something ?

there is also a mount lower down by the crank case / fly wheel cover but i don't have the bracket and the lady that answered the phone at Factory pipe said she has no brackets and just kept saying check the install manual and call back with part numbers

i watched some videos and shimmed the motor properly so i don't think i have any abnormal vibrations

any help is much appreciated

i found in an older thread that the lord mounts for the type 9 and type 4 dry pipe that are on top of the head are
LORD part #j-11729-190

and the mount for the front on the type 4 is LORD part # j-11729-68

do the lord mounts on the head thread right in to the stock superjet head of is there an additional bracket i need?

I had an older after market head and the lord mounts screwed right to the head, the pipe sits on top the lord mounts and is secured with a bolts and washers to the lord mount. I've not had an OE head.., based on what you've said above, your pipe is aligning with the holes in your head so the lord mounts will mount directly to your head.. newer after market heads needed a bracket with mounting holes as non were provided on the head shell itself...

You might be able to extract your broken bolts with an easy out or left hand bit

You'll need the flywheel lord mount and bracket as well... I think jetmaniac on this sit has the lord mounts but maybe not the flywheel bracket. Might have to find used, might check Watcon site too...

The pipe vibrates a lot normally btw

You NEED the two head mounted Lord mounts, they mount on the stock head or to a billet head with a bracket from ADA. You do not need the flywheel cover bracket and mount. I've run a handful of these and never found a chamber that had the front mounting tab in an orientation that didn't push the pipe out of alignment with the manifold. I ran all of them with just the two head mounts without issue. Do not try to use anything but the intended isolator mounts.

I had to run the front mount as I only had one on top... If the 2 tops are enough yamanube that would save the OP from trying to find the bracket

the lord mounts say they are 3/8 x 16 thread ?

what are the holes in the top of the superjet head for exhaust mounting M10 x 1.25 ?

i see in the factory parts list there is a (3/8"-16x 10mm-1.25 S.S. Mount Nut) this will have male threads on one end that are 10mm-1.25 that thread into the head and on the other end have female 3/8 - 16 for the lord mount

also found an older thread that says factory doesn't have them any more DAMN

now i need to drill out 2 couplings and tap half of each one M10 - 1.25 and the other 3/8-16 and thread in some M10-1.25 ready rod to make them

FIXED !!!

talked to factory pipe and they don't have any brackets but offered the lord mounts for $45 USD + shipping then duty at the boarder (Im Canadian) way too long to wait and way to much to pay

made my own brackets from some angle iron no problem and bought these mounts from Acklands , came in in 2 days and cost $18 CDN , thats only like 45 Cents American for you guys !

https://www.acklandsgrainger.com/en...lators/c/3788?q=anti+vibration+mounts&type=ts

the specs looked to be close enough to lord mounts

the third one on the fly wheel cover mount was from Princess auto and came in a bag of 4 for $15 or something

finally got the ski out on the lake today and everything held perfectly ! couldn't be happier, thanks for your advice and pics guys
