Factory B pipe water line recomendations

After installing my B pipe and water lines, the way FPP recommends, I searched around on here and found that almost everyone is running theirs different then what FPP say.

What are the pros and cons of routing the water lines this way compared to what almost everyone is running on here with stock single cooling? Will tuning the water screws be different with it ran this way?

FPP routing:
-Head to top fitting on head pipe.
-Bottom fitting on head pipe to stinger/bypass.

Almost everyone else:
-Head to bottom fitting on head pipe.
-Top fitting on head pipe to stinger/bypass.

My current set up though I haven't ridden it this way yet (I think I am going to add another bypass running off the front of the head, currently I just have it plugged).

I think your routing is fine at the moment. I dont see any reason to add an additonal bypass from your head either. I ran my ski the way Factory Pipe recommended and it performed well.

You may look into getting a JetWorks Flow Control Valve (FCV).... search

I've searched a lot of different threads and it sounds like most run what their engine builder recommend, but don't really give a reason why they say to run it that way. That's why I was looking for the pros and cons if there are any to the different routing styles.

I think I'll get a FCV eventually.

Thanks for the input!

Edit: I am on stock internals with carbon reeds, 35cc domes and b pipe.

I saw a thread a while back about something similar but I can't seem to find it. After some debating, it came down to "it really doesn't matter". Supposedly there are fewer bubbles if you fill from the bottom and go out through the top but even that has me questioning since I would think bubbles would be greater that way.

Either way, my kawi is run the FPP way and my SJ is run the other way. Both seem to run fine.

What he said.
If you don't want to put a FCV in right now, at least restrict the water going into the stinger. You can use a 2.0 needle and seat(without the needle) or something similar to restrict the water going into the stinger.

Sounds good. I think I'll dig through some old carbs I have around and see what seat I can find that will work the best. I'll buy a FCV when I find a deal on one.
