Nah it had footholds that Malone had put in by just carving out foam then glassing inside of it. not very deep but you could get part of your foot in each one

If it was me I would try and restore the original colors... i have always really like that paint scheme.
I'm surprised on the big square holes where the scuppers were, not sure why Malone did that... I would glass the holes over and start fresh with new holes for the new scupper/s.
For first time glass work i would start out with 3/4 to 1 1/2 glass mat. Then move on to heavy mat if needed when you feel comfortable with glass work. 3/4 to 1 1/2 mat is a lot easier to work with then heavier oz, but you will have to put on more layers of glass to get the same strength as something like 24oz biax.
I would fill in as much of the tray as possible with closed-cell foam and then when your all done with the glass work in the tray, pour some 4Ib foam to lock everything in place.

lol i have not made up my mind on the paint i may go back with but sanded it down to find any cracks and feather some patch work. the neon on the nose was almost faded to white so it will have a fresh coat of paint either way. I have not ruled out malones paint YET.

well i got the saw out tonight and grew a pair and started cutting ended up cutting 4.5 inches off the bottom 2nd photo is where the new ride plate bolts will be

Nice! what are you going to be using to glass it up in the rear? the 1708 biaxial from uscomposites worked great for me. That stuff is heavy duty. Three layers made it as thick if not thicker then the hull

I have not ordered any glass yet just keep cutting I still need to grind all the ribs smooth so i can put a layer of glass and carbon fiber in the engine bay.

Well a small update i ground the ribs down smooth FINALLY got the bilge fittings out and have made up my mind on the paint that it is going to be. Hopefully I will be able to order footholds,glass and scuppers in a couple weeks.

yes on either side there are ribs that stick out when ground down making it smooth to be able to glass over without any air bubbles.

Is that my new name? I know most of the cops around here, and for the most part i haven't had problems with them. actually i got pulled over doing about 90 in a 35 at around mid-night(I know thats stupid, but i was 16 on a cbr 600 haha) I knew the cop and he just told me to slow down.. I got ticketed when i was out of town..
How did they know your safety chain were off? Not standing up for the cop but there must of been another reason why he pulled you over?

Ok so this is my first time doing anything like this and I am about to order glass resin cabosoil and mircro bubbles. My question is how much glass do I need to order more than likely going with bob foot holds unless tom21 footholds come out soon.

I would PM Lawnmaster (tyler) and ask him. He is running the same holds and most of the same hull mods. So he would be able to give you a pretty close guess.
