Super Jet FA mounting plate?

This thing just won't stay clean. The finish is half of the problem. Wire brush, brake cleaner, wire wheel....

Question: Has anyone tried powder-coating this thorn?

Yes,
Stock plate that screws into the carbs, plastic flame arrestor screws into it.
I like the set-up.
Thinking about powder coating it.

That would b sweet. Come to think of it don't think I've ever seen anyone powder coat one

Maybe it's the salt.
The darn thing will be gritty a week after cleaning it. (it's 10 years old) The factory finish coat of "whatever" is disappearing and, I'm sure, getting sucked down the carbs.

I hesitate to paint it for fear of the same result.

Powder coat came to mind.
I know some have powder coated pipe chambers, manifolds etc...
