Surfriding Eyewear

What does everyone use to keep salt water out of their eyes? After 5 mins of riding my eyes are so red and sore that it takes just about everything I have to keep them open, let alone focus on doing something cool....

Idk I think your eyes get used to it after a while. I also wear contacts and it has never bothered me. I think there's something called seaspecs you can use if you insist on getting some eye protection.

I would wear Bomber Eyewear (they float) with any kind of rope attached to wrap around your head. Otherwise you will lose them. After a few months of wearing them, your eyes will begin to adjust to the salt water and you won't need or want any glasses or goggles.

Plus, the glasses can impair vision. They can also make it harder to distinguish wave height and shape because the glare is reduced.

I wear a pair of the bomber glasses, its more for just keeping the spray out of my face. The have foam to keep them to your face and they float, but I use them with my helmet so that keeps them on

One idea that helps block out some water but isn't water sealed is to use the sunglasses that motorcycle riders wear. The have the foam around the lenses so it blocks out a good bit of water but not fully so they dont feel hot or look stupid. I use them on the lake and they work pretty well...

that makes more sense than salt, I run all day with contacts in the salt and am okay until its time to drive home, then its time to switch to glasses
