Eye Opener: 4 Pound Trim Cable

I was just sitting here and wanting to start a thread about something, so here it is.

I got a new 11 foot Terry Cable trim cable. It is constructed beautifully, but on the other hand, it weigh 4 pounds. Can you believe that?

Did you ever think about what each component on your ski contributes to the total weight? All of the little pieces really add up.

I'll be home on Friday and do a side-by-side comparison of a Pro-Tec and this Terry cable. I was just bored tonight and wanted to post something interesting. I happened to weigh it a few weeks ago when I received it and noticed that it was quite heavy. It does weigh 4 pounds on a precision kitchen scale (0-11 pound range).
