extended ride plate vs. stocker

I rode ketsairs ski this weekend - square hull with a stock plate. and compared to mine his feels super nose light would my extended plate cause mine to keep the nose down that much more?

Yup. That's almost the whole point of an extended ride plate. Take that one step further and ride it with a cut plate.

hmmm my friends square is squatting on my parents land. I already canabalized the ODIs I guess I can take the ride plate too.... hmmm...

You can always pick them up on eBay for next to nothing. Then grab a Dremel and take a nice big bite out of it

The diff between an extended (especially a 4" extended) plate and the stock plate is amazing. Did you notice how much wetter the tray was with the stock ride plate?

Right now I am running a Protec ride plate (2" extended) with a big D cut out of it, so the only thing really extending is two chines out the back.

all I could really think about on his ski was how high the nose was and how sucky his footholds felt compared to REVs.

I do think it's an interesting idea though... the D cut extended plate. I happen to be a spazz though, and thus I have very little control over my shins.

or did he FINALLY get the pump/impeller working decent?

it felt ok to me but its hard to compare 2 skis that are so different. it popped out of the water pretty decent in my opinion but I wasn't on it long.
