300/440/550 Exhaust tubing?

What type of exhaust tubing can i use? The hose that connects the expansion chamber to the water box was cracked so i replaced it with some NAPA auto parts radiator coolant line and the exhaust melted the inside of it. Is there some special stuff I should buy or should i just buy some higher heat tolerant coolant hose?

At Napa they sell coolant tubing that is up to 350F but its $26/ft.

Try checking summit racing for a silicone coupler that fits your size.

That 350 deg F tubing is a silicone line so I guess ill look around for some silicone tubing thanks. Is silicone more heat resistant that regular coolant line?

Yes silicone can withstand higher temps than rubber. How long of a piece do you need? If its something beyond just a coupler can you use an aluminum tube with couplers on each end?

Its about a ten inch piece of 1-1/2in dia hose.

I would say your exhaust isn't getting enough water. You shouldn't melt radiator hose. Are you getting a stream of water to the stinger?

second that. you got a cooling problem. tell us what kind of pipe you have or post a pic.

Heres some pictures. Im not sure what brand pipe it is. Theres a picture of the melted hose.

Whats the best way to reseal my water box? Also is it worth breaking open the water box and gutting it? Ive heard its too loud and not a noticeable gain in power.

Looks like someone has already resealed your waterbox. Don't gut it there is zero power increase and it makes it extremely loud.

It may have been resealed but the seal is all cracked again especially around the inlet and outlet riveted pieces. Would some high temp RTV work for the seal or should I JB Weld it?

I would just look for a clean used waterbox.
