SX/SXi/SXi Pro exhaust gasket SXi Pro. No holes?

upon painting and reassemling my 750sxi Pro. i noticed that the gasket that seals the exhaust manifold (part that mounts to the engine exhaust ports) and the exhaust header (the "u" shaped pipe that connects to the pipe) does NOT have relief holes in it for the water jackets.... are these 2 parts cooled independently? i would think that the gasket would have holes in it to allow the water to pass from one part to the other through the water jackets....maybe im wrong. can anybody shed some light on it for me?, thanks

mine dont and either does the factory pipe ones..

No they don't because water comes into your exhaust manifold fills up the cyl. and then comes out your head to cool it and then to your headpipe for the exhaust. If it was open to the exhaust the water would just flow out the pipe and never would fill up the cyl. to cool it.
