Exhaust Flange Removal

Is the flange permanently attached to the exhaust tube?

Do I have to remove them both as a unit?

Whomever painted this Superjet like this should have his ass removed. :banghead:

the flange is welded to the tube. to remove, you need to drill out the rivets and pound it out from the inside. mine was in pretty tight. i had to have someone hit it with a mallet while i pried w/ a screwdriver once there was a gap.

congrats sho...looks like you have one rivet and some grunt work to go. I'll be trying this sometime soon I suspect as well. And yea, I pity the dope who painted that thang in the first place!

its stainless you should be able to scrape it off easily w/a razorblade

My square was that way when I got it... just used a razor like Vomitspot said... comes right off.

I'm not sure.

I love, love, love the parts but the condition they're in isn't so good.

The ski is a 1996 yet I keep running into purple paint while sanding the hull.

I will make it perfect.
