Excellent weekend!

Me & Phill (and family, friends) went for a weekend camping trip to Lake Coeur D'Alene this weekend. And what a nice weekend it was!!!
The kids had a blast, the wives were reasonably happy, and the riding was excellent!
Nice clean water, about 75-80 degrees, and no mechanical problems worth mentioning.
Phill & crew came over to my house Friday night at 8, with lots of work to do. We had to modifiy my trailer to fit four skis instead of just two. My engine needed to be reassembled from the ground up, new crank and honed cylinder & rings and all. Tequila greased the way, and at 1 am we were done.
The campground we stayed at didn't have a boat ramp, but a boat dock (that you had to walk to). We put all four skis in about three miles away, and rode them over.
We basically had the whole bay to ourselves. Not just good skiing, but also swimming for the kids & dogs.
As mentioned, the riding was great. One of our riders (David) learned to stand up most of the time finally. Another learned to sub. Phill learned something, not sure what. Maybe to buy quality coupler clamps so you don't have to tighten your B-Pipe coupler every 20 minutes?
I worked on my stabs and roll attempts. I suck, but I am getting better.
I am not getting enough air, but I do get inverted now and do the human-scoop-grate thing. I did a number of real good ones of boat wakes. The show was good enough for people in their boats to cheer me on.
My engine is running great, and the topend oughta be broke in now.

On a sidenote, my fully charged Jetworks battery brought me about six or so hours of hard riding, with lots of starts and full time dual bilge pumps. At the end of that, the battery was done, though. Enough to blow out the ski on the trailer, and that was it.

man thats a pretty spot!

the family/clan camp thing is always fun for me.

can I ask how much ride time the pc625 was giving you compared to the 6 hours of the jetworks?

are the jetworks specs posted online anywhere?

that baby stroller strapped to the SJ is cracking me up.

its all about the family dude!

haha

Hey, whatever works!. The Odyssey gave me about four to six hours when it was brandnew, declining from there. (Down to 2-3 at the end)

Looks awesome Matt
hey have you ever considered the solar powere charger
i reckon one of those with out the aligator clips and a different plug that ran up your pole so it was easy to get to
you could just plug it in when your not riding
i mean if you stop to chew the fat for 20 you could plug it in and get some clean green free enrgy for your battery

I was thinking about that. I am also considering a small generator, a 2nd battery, or an inverter for a vehicle.
In the end, I need to consider how many times a year I go to spots that don't have a regular power hookup.

I just converted a dock to solar.

a 130 watt panel ( $600) makes almost 8 amps in the full sun.

that would take a while.

a generator would be cheaper and faster ( but noisier)

the Aldis ( cheap gocery store)

near me has a 2200 watt generator with a byuilt in 12v charger for $199, ive got one as back up on the dock, im going to buy one for home as well.
they use the little chinese honda ripoff motors. quiet and start easily.

mine too, I wanted to convert everything to 12V and solar.

its too expensive.
it declines greatly in the shade, you only get full power for under an hour per day, without some type of tracking device, ( $2000 and more energy used!)

Ive got 4 - 6 volt golf cart batteries ( 225 AH each), and a 130 watt solar panel. they charge 7 days a week and MAYBE get used every weekend. thats about how much capacity you need.

2000 watt inverter to inflate the boat lifts. ( BIG load)
