Exaust gasket blown - sx 750

I noticed that my exaust gasket is leaking bad this weekend.
I have a SX 750 - 1993 all stock.
What could of happened?? something I did? I never run it off the hose except to blow the water out and drain my carb. mo more then a few seconds.

could this cause an air leak on my engine?? Could it cause more damage??

I have been noticing letly that the engine comp. has had more water than usual, but I couldn't find the culprit. this weekend however, I ran it on the hose and saw smoke AND water coming out from the manifold (?) by the engine.

Thanks for all the help.

Just replace it, the nuts may have worked loose.

i have a 96 sxi with a factory pipe, and I had some of the same problems, and in the end we ended up drilling new holes for the bolts. I doubt youll have to do that, just make sure you do it right the first time with the sealent and tightening of the bolts.

Thanks guys!!! I just go the gasket ( as a matter of fact, I bought all three for the exaust , whatever they are. will find them as I disassemble.)

Is there anything I should put on the gasket, for instance, vaseline ( I don´t think I should out vaseline on the gasket, but) the sameway I put some on the carb gasket??

Thanks again!!!!
