Super Jet every now and then i go for wide open throttle and Blaaa.

I have a stock 650 SN SJ. Every now and then when riding for a while I go to power out of something and I get a dead spot, till I let off and hit it again. Happens very little but it does happen. Ive done no work to this except some spark plugs, and changing stock exhaust peices. Does this happen to anyone else? My waveraider will it it sometimes also, its a 701 though.

Bump to follow thread

Mine also does this.....waveblaster 62t with carbs never cleaned. Mine also boggs on take off(worse when not warmed up), I have to goose the throttle to get past the bog.

Come to think of it....brothers superjet does this....two week old 701 build...dual carbs with fresh rebuild. He re-jeted since then but I don't know if that has fix the problem tho.

whats the fix slinden??

thanks that makes sense, especially it seems to happen after a long no wake ride. what happens when you go for throttle and have none, then get clobbered by a wave? aftermarket water boxes do the same?

A Jet works Flow control valve helps with keeping the waterbox drier at idle. That is if that is your issue. Could be carb tuning.

Do you have a k&n flame arrestor, or similar? I ask because when I ran one for a bit, it would get soaked with water in my hull sometimes during hard turns, and would bog my engine till it got cleared out. Ive since switched to oem on all my skis and its no longer and issue. Just an idea

ive noticed even after adjusting the mixture screws that some times it accelerates like a rocket, and some times feels real sluggish or flat like it has no throttle response at all.
seems like in the mid trottle position
