I've been chasing a fuel delivery issue on an FX1 I picked up for weeks. I've had the carb apart half a dozen times to clean, rebuild, rejet, re-clean, rebuild etc etc etc. tried a million other things from fuel lines to selector switch to emptying the tank, you friggin name it. Finally I said "F" it and just bought a new carb off of Amazon. Threw that thing on and the ski runs like brand new. Am I the only one? Did I take the lazy way out?

I’m not a carb guy so I don’t even attempt rebuilding them. That’s why I always send mine off to jss or have a local shop rebuild them for me.

I take the easy way out on new skis and drop them off at bad boys. Its more enjoyable to have harry check everything and just enjoy the first few rides.

I finally had to on the wife's Seadoo. Been rebuilding carbs on these for 25 years and that one finally got the better of me. One new out of the box carb and it has never run so good.

nope never, id give up jet skiing and wrenching in general if i coulndt figure out fuel delivery of a yamaha based 2 cycle, to each their own tho, pride comes in many flavors
