Anyone know where I can find a tool that mixes and dispenses epoxy nicely?

Ideally, a caulk gun would work great, if they sold epoxy like that.

McMasterCarr sells empty caulk tubes that you can fill with whatever you like. I believe Gougeon(West Systems) sells them also.

i work on concrete floors and pump epoxy into the cracks for repair with a double barrel caulking gun. The stuff I use is a different grade, but you can get it for skis. the cool thing is it pumps even and mixes in the nozzle.

Sounds interesting, where can I get it?

I know about the pumps, I've used them. But for this project I need to lay the epoxy in a clean pattern, I just can't dump it on.

Not necessarily so. The typical West systems stuff isn't equal parts, true dat.
There are lots of different types of epoxy resins out there though, with many different mix ratios.
I have, in fact, come across 1:1 mix ratio epoxy resin.

It's not. In fact, I didn't go near using it, I just saw it for sale. Most of what I have used has been 4:1 OR 5:1 ratios.

I'll tell you what, after doing some boat repairs this past week, I've done away with the pump setups for dispensing epoxy. First of all, I always seem to get air in the pumps which leads to an improper mix ratio. I've had issues with the epoxy curing, etc. The boat repairs that I've done work out to about 3 sq. yards. That's right, 3 sq. yards. Imagine mixing up that much epoxy with the pumps? It just doesn't happen. What I did was order the graduated cups from US Composites and measure the quantity by volume. I get a much more consistent mix, plus the time to dispense is virtually seconds compared to about 5 - 10 minutes with pumps.

Scroll down to the plastic graduated cups. They are perfect for epoxy projects.

Home Depot has construction epoxy called "Setpac", we use it for dowling re-bar into concrete. They have a double barrel gun that can be used with it, or single tube that mixes with a drill. I'm not sure if you could use that type of stuff, but it is so strong that their claim is you will shear the re-bar or bolt off before the epoxy pulls out of the hole. Fast cure.

yeah dries in 15 min. i've used that stuff before. it would add too much weight.

Ive used that stuff for concrete floors before also. Its perfect. I used it when I had to pour a new section of floor, I drilled holes in the exisiting concrete and epoxied in some re-rod to help hold the new stuff in place. dries fast as sht! mixes very well also, but its a one time usage thing
