Lookin for a clear answer on the HX3 in a 61x 701. Work or doesn't? Was reading the stator doesn't push enough volts maybe? Anyone with any experience?

If you want to improve your 61x ignition, start with replacing it with 62t components.

I'd rather not replace the fw and stator. I currently have a msd enhancer and it runs great.
If I did decide to replace the stator. What do y'all suggest. Is there a "better" stator out there?

Id personally stick with the 61x ignition and msd enhancer. Even though I never had a lick of problems with my epic, I'd never run one again. To many horror stories.

Do a search for Epic and you will find some threads on the various issues people have had as well as people that have never had an issue.
I've read the forum. But I feel like a lot of times people don't write in unless they have had a negative experience.. so I was just polling to see if anyone has a clear answer

Yes people usually only post negative experiences but there are alot of them for the Epic out there. There a a metric boat load more MSD's out there and not nearly the number of bad reviews for them.

I said the same thing and started a poll once to see what the numbers really were. It ended up that there were quite a few more issues than what was being talked about on the boards. We could never nail it down to a percentage though without knowing how many units were actually sold in total.
If you read through all the posts on them, (particularly mine), you may have picked up that it's a compatibility issue rather than a specific module issue. The only way to really know if one will work with your components is to try one with your components. A unit that performs flawlessly in one ski may poop the bed in another. There's no real rhyme or reason to it and it's very frustrating.
