I am looking for feedback on SXR engine keepers. What have you been using and how are they? Also are you primarily using them for race or freestyle?

I ran the kenny keepers from blowsion. They are the only ones as far as I know. I just put them on my X-2 now since I dont have the SX-R anymore.

you can make them pretty easy for alot less money then 75 bucks. all they are is alittle pidce of aluminum bent to keep them engine plate from moving to far.

That is what I am looking at making them work better than they currently do. The SXR bed plate seems to move forward and backward with more of an up movement than most of the engine keepers out there seem to limit. If you notice the SJ ones are bent up to limit the movement, but also it has to do with the mount placement on the SJ.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed the upward movement on the SXR?

I have acquired some 1/2" thick cast aluminum that I am testing for SXR motor mounts. Has anyone broken a SXR motor mount, or any brand engine keeper? These new mount will limit travel in both directions, front and back.

When I land upside down, "pancake style" my engine keepers of course do not do anything, but if I am at an angle and upside down the bed plate lands on top of the keepers and takes a chunk out of them sometimes. That can't be good for the engine mounts. lol I'm going to make them thicker to stop the bed plate from riding up and over the keeper.

I ended up using 6061 T-6 for this one. This is just a test fit one. If it ever gets above 10 deg outside again, I'll try and see how it fits. This one is thicker than normal to keep the bed plate from jumping up and over the keepers. Also it stops the bed plate from either direction instead of just one. For racing and or just jumping waves, it would not matter, but in freestyle you sometimes land tail or nose.
