Engine keepers

Just wondering if there was a certain set better then the rest. I looked at the Joe Kenney ones that Blowsion sells, and I think thats what I will get.

Anyone got some opinions?

don't you ride a blaster? they don't fit on blasters.

the bend in the keeper it the wrong angle to fit on the blaster. I bought a set and found out the hard way.:banghead:

fyi, the blaster and fx-1 would use the same keepers and no one makes them.

Looks like there will be some Defoe engineering ones available for me. They cant be that hard to make. I will probably use stainless though.

your right, they don't seem hard to make. it's just not an item that's in much demand.

^^^^Yea I hear ya, but there are plenty of Blasters around, and plenty of people going big on them. I will post some pics with what I come up with. I will be going for practicality over looks, its not something im trying to put 100's of hours into. If they come out decent, and some people are interested I could build a few set and just charge like 50 bucks or something.

Motor mounts are to expensive to have to replace all the time.

I hate to say it but they'll probably be more for looks. Keepers only protect the motor from going to far forward when you hit bottom. blasters don't generally hit bottom. they are far more buoyant than an sj.

So you realy dont think they will help when launching huge stabs at Sebastian. A B1 may be more bouyant, but when I bust flat water subs I go bye bye. And I have hit bottom in about 4-5ft of water. I think they will do the same thing they do on a SJ.
