it is zolatone and it aint cheap. If you are doing 3 or 4 hulls its not bad but to do one hull or 4 would be $400 and you need a pot gun. I bought the pot gun then read that you need to prime with THIER PRIMER and add a HIGH $$$$$ hardner to make it chemical and scratch resistant I realized I was pissing up a rope LOL. Also, the people at the MFR. are total azz bags when you call for info.
Better off gel coating and thats not cheap either hehehehe.

Really if you want something durable that will not look like AZZ in a season you have no choice that I can find other than laying some 5-6oz carbon inside with epoxy for looks or Zolatone. I cannot find an alternative that will hold up over time. If I were doing say 3 skis I would do the zolatone in a heart beat.
Its not overkill if you want something that holds up. It is just time consuming and expensive. Another option I thought about is to find a bedliner place that would be willing to spray it and one that does the HARDER COMPOUND liners (LINEX maybe) not the rubber crap.

l like your idea of using a bed liner like Linex, but what about the weight factor?

We use the same stuff for the BOBs. The good engine coating material is also resistant to fuel. Cheap rattle can texture paint isn't, you'll be seeing spots at the bottom of the hull if you spill some gas on it.

Is the finish on the inside of these hulls purely cosmetic? Will the water/fuel etc damage the fiberglass on a raw after market hull over time? I wouldn't think there would be any real damage if your not just letting water/fuel sit in it for days at a time.
