I'd like to comment: First off no offense to Motozachl nothing personal, everyone has an opinion. Id just like to point out a few things and address some comments above.
1) Just want to point out for other readers, that you did buy a used hull that was a few years older if I am not mistaking? Didnt you buy Bobbys hull? Anyway, that does play a small role in the installation process. I don't know specific details of your build, but I know you had problems with alignment.
2) Yes the engine mounts for Yamaha are aluminum plates. I purchased my hull directly from EME, and they had the rear left drilled and ready to go and the front right marked. He also even throw a mock up motor in the ski and explained to me how to line them up and drill. In my opinion they are super easy. Yes some other hull manufacturers have motor mounts ready and some you have to install everything like pump shoes. So this really depends on what you want to do. I know MotoZachl had some problems getting his alignment correct. But from my experience it was super easy, and I would certainly not let this sway you away from an EME hull.
3)The engine compartment is on the smaller side but like said above once you know the order to put things in it is super easy. I can have the engine out of mine just as quick as a SJ or any other hull.
4) Footholds. In my opinion I Love the EME footholds as far as angled holds go. I personally would prefer more straight footed like KDX/DVX, but for regular style footholds I like them. No discomfort for me. I did add an extra 8mil layer on the top of the holds. Which if you have it turfed from EME the foothold turf is a seperate piece which makes adjusting the holds to your feet super easy.
5) Handling, I agree with above.
6) the only complaint I have, is my original scupper was terrible. But Eric/Ryan made sure to get me a replacement out asap and I have not had a problem since.
