EME Q8 riders - engine choice

im running a 701 in my q8, want more power now but still want to go into the surf without necking myself, anyone running a larger engine that the find is manageable in the surf but still enough to flip etc on FW. I was hopping the ss865 or 900 would still be alright in the surf. Opions would be appreciated. thanks

I rode my jetworks 900 in surf a few weeks ago for the first time. Definitely manageable and didn't wear me out like I thought it would. Made the small days a lot more fun. Arts engines are very linear even with the total loss and pfp. It would probably be even more fun if set up with a b pipe and charging system but then whats the point. Personally I prefer less displacement that I can just keep taped in the surf as opposed to blipping and still hauling ass.

I have the JM781 and it would be a perfect surf motor. Would like a little more for my lack of skills on flatwater though.

I would look at the TPE SS first, rather then the xmetal or dasa SS
