Last years specs:
Tpe964
Billet head (pump gas domes)
Novi 44s
Powerfactor (dry)
Msd enhancer (stock timing)
144 Solas with 16/21 hooker
85mm reduction nozzle

I am very happy with the power! Motor ran great. The main problem was burning the pump.. So, for next year the pump needed to be changed.

Once the snow melts I'll be running:
-Xscream skat trak set back one piece billet 148 pump
-86mm reduction nozzle with veins removed by xscream
-14/20 skat thin blade
- MSD dual channel digital total loss

You were only running 44s on your motor? Holy cow. And still had good power? Im about to put an order in for my motor and alway thought i needed to get 46-49s. So was the motor just too much for the solas or the pitch of the impeller? Wondering becuase the majority of your setup looks like how im going to have mine. Motor looks awesome!

My novi 44s have been working great, but I don't have a set of 48s to compare them to. I wish I did haha I called tim at novi and he nailed the jetting as well as a few other tips he gave me to get the smaller carbs to work well. As far as the pump goes I saw this as the biggest bottleneck to the setup and all the cool kids are running bigger pumps. Probably could have gotten the Solas to work with a lot of time but the 148 is better than a 144 in the long run.

@tatronation Yeah I just sold my pump and getting a h20 pump here soon to run with my 964. I'm debating about just going straight to the 49s or start with smaller carbs. My skills are still much less than this motor even if it is choked up with some 38s hah. What did you average on fuel consumption? I'm sure with that size motor consumption won't vary TOO much with carb setups

Just get the 49s and who cares about fuel consumption haha

But really I have no idea how much fuel it used and im sure it was the same as any other motor of this size

@tatronation ha pretty much. Ain't no prius motors in this sport hahah. Smaller carbs would just save close to 1k. I'll leave carbs till last unless I get a great price or come up with all my money. I'm going to go look at your IG pics some more and drool for the next 6-8 weeks haha

Haha thanks!! The wait can be long, but Erik is a super nice guy and you will be very happy with the motor when you get it.

I agree, bigger is better. My statement was more of a reply to Mike B's comment about the impeller setup.

The fit is more about the angle of the pipe, though. In the q8, it lays more flat compared to anything else that I know of. That's the main reason why we had to cut the waterbox shorter(so that the pipe and waterbox coupler lined up).
