Nice job, Ryan. I'm looking forward to seeing what you got this year on a new hull. Your skill set is there, my man. About time someone stuck you on something other than a 701 SJ.

Ryan is hands down one of the best young talents this sport has....and I will tell you his ability and balls are all there.

I'm so cold but wow this hull was fun. It was 38 degrees out and that was the only thing that got me off this hull. I am very impressed with the handling and for a stock 701 that wasn't tuned the best because of the weather this ski felt great. I already was half way around on a back flip on my second try and I have never back flipped before. I was trying to get my set up wake set up but didn't hit it all the way. I really like the footholds and the hull is very stable. If you keep a little speed the hull keeps the nose down and it carves really good. I have only been riding 3-4 summers now so I'm not a pro by any means but going from my SJ to this is whole diff world.

Weight was around 55 lbs approx dont quote me on it. It rides extremely stable and the swim platform, if you want to call it that, makes all the difference on the handling. Its like having a second ride plate, higher in the water. He will be making different platforms for different riders and conditions, along with extended ride plates that wrap the side of the hull. Off throttle it goes super nose high if you want it to, same as Bob, but on throttle even at low speeds it planes out easily. Little different ride style than a -2" SJ but then again what aftermarket hull isnt. Well besides Freak and Rickter. Ryan was killing it again while we were all sitting in Nicks van with the heat blasting.

My wetsuit froze on the way home, I think I tore it crunching it apart to hang up.

Today Ryan took the ski out in the chop / little waves and he was killing it. He did a few plate to plate back flips and one 1 1/4 flip. The ski looked great and was handling pretty good.

Ryan and i rode this again thanksgiving day and Friday in 7-9s. Ryan was tearing it up in some nasty conditions doing surf slashes and back flips. It was cold and surf was brown. Fri was cut short as piston skirt let loose and luckily he was able to drive it in. I think this may end our ride season as i have sold all my skis and now Ryan has no motor.

Oh and just for the record, I fell multiple times on the FX-1, damn stock pumps, and poles with springs. That thing was wearing me out, the Micro was much easier to ride with a short pole and a half way decent SXR stock pump. Only thing that ski needed for me was more brap off the bottom end. I think i got spoiled by my DASA and Mag pump hit. :)
