Eleltrical box ??

How does everyone keep water out of there e-box? I have a new gasket but every surf ride it seems water still gets in. Has anybody thought about filling the box with dielectric grease? And will that even work?

I have been putting a bunch of bearing grease on both sides of the gasket, on each grommet, and on the inside of the screw cap for the fuse.
Make sure your gasket lines up well, then carefully tighten the screws - don't overtighten.
That's been keeping it out.

I was advised by CPR to do the same thing with good waterproof grease as well.

I run it open (no cover on it). Dries within minutes after riding. :cheer:

I was tired of fighting the water and trying new things to keep the inside of that box dry.

The SJ E-Box is a horrible design.
