electrical problems?

ok i went to the smashing pismo beach party and ran my 96 roundie. when i got home i wasted the ski ski and then put it in the garage. Yesterday i go out to see if it will start for today's lake run.........

found out that nothing is happening just click click............?

pull the battery and exchange it with another ski, still the same click click

look on some other threads but cant find out what the heck my problem is??

can anyone help me out?

Check all your connections first including the wires themselves .then check batteries then look inside your electric box for water or corrosion /loose /dirty connections .

check your ground using a jumper..... then check for water in the ebox.

wheres the click comming from? if it is inside the ebox it is most likly your sylinoid or your starter... if you have a volt meter see if you are getting 12v to the starter... give me a call if you want... 390 3443 ill walk you through it.

ebox is completely clean no water corrosion etc.......

all wires are all connected and everything!

click is coming from the relay//noid

im so lost!!!!!!!!

If you put a large screwdriver blade across the big terminals of the solenoid does the starter crank the engine? If yes, then the solenoid is bad. If not then the starter might need rebuilding. Also you need to check the main ground wire. A failing wire can also cause your symptoms due to a weak ground. :banghead:

it was his starter. he removed it and it will not even turn by hand...

yea jared walked me through it! thanks
pulled the starter and it didnt even budge
unbolted it and it was all corroted!
just cleaned the corrotion out and all the dirty stuff
put it back together and it turns alittle!
after getting everything back together i got it to run............
so im going to use this starter for this weekend and get a new one!

rebuild that bad boy. Soak it in acetone and then grease it up real good. I've made starters that didn't turn work like new again.
