Super Jet Electrical help needed

I just built a Frankenstein motor for a slabnose superjet that I bought in boxes before Christmas, I was wantng to get it running on the floor first to save any hasstle, my prob is hat it won't turn over, the start stop switch is good as I tried it in my own ski, there is not so mch as a click when I press the start button and when I bridge the solenoid it turns the motor over, I tried another solenoid but that was to no
avail, can someone educate me on this matter please?

make sure you relay is getting power and that you e-box is grounded. You can also jump the red/brown wire from your start stop and by pass the switch

a meter would be extremely usefull for this kind of diagnose

By grounded I take it you mean that all the black wires are screwed tight into the ebox?

not necessarely but make sure that the e-box is grounded (usually the black wire that goes to the stator). All the grounds in the box are grounded from that one wire

ok the ebox seems to be grounded, so far i have changed the cdi,solenoid,and voltage reg and nothing! no click from relay or anything
im not a whiz with electrics as you can see but as it is my main weakness i want to get my head round it! i have a blue draper multimeter that im not overfamiliar with using but i get 12v from the battery, then i took a bridge between the +battery terminal and the grounds in the ebox and again i have 12v so im guessin that the ground is fine, would this be right?
what next?

Take a piece of wire and bridge the brown/red wires (on the e-box side) coming from the start stop switch. If it clicks over, then those wires are good to the e-box. Then take an audible continuity tester and touch and end to the red wire and the other to the black wire running up to the start stop switch. When you push the start button, you should hear the circuit complete. If you do not hear the circuit complete, then either the red or brown wire have internal damage or your stop start switch needs cleaning.

Have you taken apart the stop/start switch and cleaned up the contacts for the start button?

I know it sounds obvious but have you checked the fuse?

start stop is fine, i chequed the fuse, sorry should of said that! just didnt think to mention it,lol

but i have it fixed now, it seems that the cables were the wrong way round on the solenoid, i suppose that just what you come up against when you buy a ski in boxes, anyway thanks for all the help guys i appreciate your time, glad i got it sorted and at least now i have a little more electrics knowlage, need more tho!
