electrical box help...screwed up spark...

Same thing happened to me. Got stuck at the far end of a lake. Msd worked for about 10 mins or so then i had the same spark problems. Tried a diff stator and same chit. i put in a protec modded stocker and lived happily ever after

swap the white wires. I had this happen before. Swapped it and it worked fine.

Also check the wiring harness coming out through the elec. box, had a wire bad there that was causing the same issue.

If you crank it over enough it definitely will. Happened to me, while you crank it the carbs are pumping gas into the cylinder, the second you let off the starter it sparks once igniting all that fuel and fills your underpants with poop.

because of this thread i went and tried my msd again. same chit. cleaned all electric connections. checked all wires. cleaned all terminals and posts. and nothin.but a backfire that blew my silcone pipe coupler before the pismo freeride... i couldnt switch the white wires because i have 61x electrics and dont have the jumper/adapter for the white wire. now i got to go hunt down a piece of radiator hose or something to temp. replace my coupler. phuck my life....
