I'm swapping the 750 in my SX with the 650 in the X2. I've got the 750 pulled and sitting on the floor ready. When I went to pull out the electrics all the wires after they came out of the box had barrel connectors on them so I cut the wires just below the crimps. However the X2 had no barrel connectors and I don't want to cut the wires if I don't have to. How do I get the electronics out without cutting all the wires or will I have to cut them?

That thing should have all pull apart connectors inside the e-box on the ceiling. I spent the morning plugging mine back together. That being said, I also have cut the lead to my CDI and have external connectors for it so It can be changed in the field easily without getting into the ebox. I am also going to do the same with my stator wires to make engine swaps easier. I pack the connections with dilectric grease to keep water out.

Selling all X2 and 650 parts - message me!
Crab is right. The connectors on every wire has male or female end, and hooks up to the proper wire via the opposite connector. They may look like barrel connectors but they should have been the male / female pull apart kind. Maybe someone prior to you on the 750 messed with the wiring and made crimp connections. Anyway, looks like you are into wiring diagram mode and splicing on male / female connectors as required.

Crab, where did you get that crossbar pad? I want one....... Prof

Thanks Prof, any idea where I can get a wiring diagram? I'm not sure if they are pull apart connections or not but I don't think so.

And Crabs crossbar pad is a Crabfloat that he got at GIJoes I believe.

I have all the 650 wiring diagrams. Best part about the float, is the boat won't go upside down running any more.:Banane01: :Banane01: :Banane01:

Crab if you wanna scan them and email them to me or post them that would be great. I stopped by Matt's today and looked at the ski and the wires in both boxes are crimped with barrel style crimps so I'm gonna have to cut and re-crimp them. I think that if I fill the ends of the barrels with some de grease that things should be ok. Especially if all the connections are all sealed in the box.
