And as far as the rash, I get it every weekend. It's not a problem when I wear my wetsuit, but with 90 degree temps in Lake Norman I'm not wearing that in the summer. Last weekend I thought I would be smart and put those big square bandages above my ankles. No rash, but got some sweet square tan lines there now. AWESOMMMMMMME.

I put in WDK holds this past winter and my legs were on the verge of bleeding after only about an hour or so of riding the first time. Very choppy day for my first ride so I think that added to it. Someone here suggested neopreen elbow pads but I just couldn't deal with the tan lines. I have diamond cut turf so I removed the section that was rubbing and glued it back smooth side out. No more problems :)

I was in Big 5 one day and walked by knee supports. Some were pretty long, some were padded like the girls wear in vollyball. First thing that popped in my head was the "turf burn" I get on my knees when I don't wear a wetsuit.

If you really have chicken legs, I have a small thick dive suit here. I wanted $50 for it complete, if you just want part of it, maybe we can work something out. See what you can find locally, if not, this might be an option.

I wear a pair of slippery liquid race boots and they help alot. I mainly started wearing them after I stepped on some glass at a local ramp..the thick soles on these keep your feet from getting cut up from sharp rocks, glass or fish hooks. The neoprene booties that come with them extend up past the ankle and keep it from getting rashed. Best $75 I have spent. Going on my 3rd season with them with ALOT of use and they still look like new.
