I am sorry I didn't call you on this. I wanted to have my carbs rebuilt as I was having a stalling problem but I figured you would be too busy for something this minor.
I knew this guy from before and he had done some work on my other skis satisfactorily.
He has had my ski for exactly ONE MONTH :aargh4:

I will bust my ski out of this guy's shop tomorrow!
(he weighs 300lbs, 6'5"........) I will pay him for the work he has "done" and go from there.
Where exactly is Tom's shop, when I google the address I get 2 locations in Clearwater, is he the one west of 19 and just north of E Bay?

it's north of eastbay west of 19.
from 19 go west on eastbay and go a couple blocks
turn right at the wendy's

Picked up my ski today, even though he said it "wasn't quite ready! $375 for a carb rebuild! :scared:
It starts, runs and I haven't noticed any new damage on it, so I will water test it this week to see if the original problem has been fixed!!!
Next time, I WILL call Tom....:biggthumpup:

And I thought he was my friend!
He removed the choke mounting bracket,( I did not ask him to do this)from the block because it was rubbing against the (Coffmans) pipe, then the pipe mounting bracket broke (because of the vibration), so he had to have it welded.:aargh4:
Also he said there was salt water in the gas so he flushed the tank, replaced gas. Then when he finally got to water test it he could not get the pop off pressure right, so he had to water test it 3 times!!:aargh4:
This dude also owns the jetski rental operation located on Park blvd at the south end of Lake Seminole, he probably was renting my ski out!!!!!!!:aargh4:
Here's the bill:
Parts:
2 carb pop off springs $ 4.00
2 low speed jets 8.00
2 spark plugs 5.00
3 gallons gas/oil 5.00
Labor:
water test $ 50.00
carb labor 150.00
weld exhaust 75.00
exhaust removal/install 50.00
I am just glad to have it back and will test it friday to see how it runs!:ugh2:

yeah with you, and Brad and marine corp Mike in front of me!! he is a big dude. I know him. he is pretty cool at the ramp and I've ridden with him a few times. but that is about all of him I know.
