FX-1 E-box Mounting question

Finally putting my project ski together and i've run into the first of many snags. The previous owner had mounting points for an e-box other than a standard FX1 unit.

The unit I have has the single mount to each side that wraps around to the back of the ebox with two nuts welded on. I'm comforatable with drilling holes and mounting it, but I'm not sure if one spot is better than another.

Should it be centered? more towards the hood seal? shifted left or right some?

I know this is a simple question, but I find that anything I don't ask about, I end up regreting making an assumption.

l had to mount an ebox from a 62T (switched engines) cause the original one was a 61X.l did not want to drill new holes in the ski,so l tapped the 3 holes in the new ebox and mounted it that way.

There is 3 holes already in some ebox's which will match up exactly to the 3 holes in a fx1.All you have to is put some threads in them.Guess l should have been clearer!

Put it on last night. The answer to the question is that if running a Factory B-pipe you need to mount box as close to the fire wall as possible otherwise it rubs the pipe and won't square up against the coupler.

I now have 11 holes in my fire wall. Awesome.
