Ok I needed some paint for my X2,I have Kirker paint here but the hardener is cashed and I don't really have time to order more.So I noticed when I was at Autozone that they had Duplicolor Lacquer pain in quarts.it is ready to spray as it comes,it sprays easily and coverage is good.Since it is lacquer if you screw it up its not a big deal sand the runs out and start over, there is no special recoat time and it dries well like lacquer. For $20.00 a quart ready to spray I think its a good option for some of you guys versus spray cans.It can also be sanded and buffed or clearcoated for extra bling.I will post up some pics when the bottom is done.If all goes as planned you guys coming to the chickenbone can check it out for yourselves.

i've used that stuff before ..it really is nice paint.it's also available by the gallon....napa carries a line of martin symore industial coatings that are ready to spray right out of the can nice and shiny..lots os colors..and it's made for machinery and stuff like that so it's super durable..and it's cheap..ranges from $21 to like $30 a gallon

A friend of mine who has been in the paint and body business for well over 40 years swears by lacquer paint on boats,he says it sets up tighter and with less actual film thickness than polyurethane,he has done several with lacquer and said they held up wonderfully,I will have to see the long term results for myself.PPG also makes an industrial paint that is ready to spray and comes in any color you can dream up,the real drawback with this paint is that it comes in red, black, white or blue only.
