dual bilge fastening/location question

i just bought a dual bilge kit from wamiltons for a 96 superjet. has anyone had luck any w just epoxy'g the bilges down -they came w some kind of epoxy-it just doesnt seem like the glue will hold long, or should i spring for someones dual brackets? is the best location to put both on eother side of the coupler,who makes a good inexpensive dual bracket for the bilges

Blowsion makes a bracket, but most people will use 3M 5200 to attach them on either side of the midshaft. You will probably have to trim your coupler cover too.

does the 5200 last? seems like it would come apart after a few days or rough riding, is it a common home depot kind of epoxy?

No it will come loose eventually,I gave up on epoxy and 5200 and just made a bracket.

I use 3m 4200 available at Wal Mart. I put one on each side of the coupler. You do not need to trim the coupler cover.

It holds, and it lasts as long as long as you prep your surface properly. It won't come off.

i guess it makes sense to try the epoxy 1st and get a bracket if it fails, thanks for the input

I use the quick dry epoxy.

that stuff. I ride harder than most and never had a problem.

I am not a fan of 5200.

I don't like the 5200 either because it takes an eternity to cure. That's why I use the 4200. If you use the 5200, don't touch your pump brackets for a minimum of 6 or 7 days.... it will still be wet.

I use fast cure 5200. Still needs to sit a few days though.
