Why are 38's a waste of time?

bolt a set of 44 or 46's on and you will know what i mean. but you have to know how to tune them to your setup. i have run all kinds of 38s from group k moded to blackjacked 38's . great on gas lacking pop. the slowest ski in the group is running 38's he is in the back all the time.

ya, i thought my 38's where good (jetworks modded). which they are... but i messed up and rode a ski with 44's and now thats all i think about. i feel like im being held back now. i could only imagine what 46mm+ would be like.

I love my blackjack 44's on my 718 hits hard and pulls like a freight train all the way to the top.

the best way to get satisfied in that topic is to get a pair of 38's and test it if you like it. I paid 125$ for a set of dual 38mm with inake and reeds more than one time, if you dont like it just resell it at the same price .......125$ think about that...just take it step by step, its not big money for now, try it.

And like Chris asked.....61x or 62t case ??

If the engine is a big bore and its ported it will benefit more from 44's or 46's compared to an unported 701.

I'm looking to replace my single carb setup to a dual carb setup, however some people say 38mm will be the best and others say 46mm. I'm looking to setup my ski for freestyle and already have a B pipe, girdled head, 35 domes, V force reeds, solas prop, intake grate, ride plate, and msd ignition enhancer.
so what do you think will suite my setup best for freestyle : 38's or 46's

love all 3 sets of my blackjacks 44s 46s and a single 46 on an 61x cased 771. love my novis on my 830to.

But that's a 771 he is running a non ported 701! Still would say go with the 38s
