Drying out stock sxr 800 exhaust

Hmm, now i'm not so sure anyone has ever done this before..so google searching is probably a bad idea. /sarcasm

it's simple; you find out where water goes INTO the exhaust and make it so LESS water is going into the exhaust. the methods will vary but the outcome is generally the same

I'm i the first? Don't believe that haha
I've heard you can dry it out but you have to cool after the exhaust...i run a dry pipe asking for a friend...maybe same settings with the pisser in the exhaust pipe before the waterbox ?i thought...

to dry out any pipe, the hose that comes out the top of the head and goes to the head pipe needs to be restricted so less water dumps into the chamber. that head fitting is what feeds water to all the exhaust after the manifold. you can also have the hole where the water dumps into the chamber welded up and redrilled smaller, to dry the chamber out. thats the best way but requires more. get one of those jetworks adjustable knob type flow controll valves, put it between the head and pipe and play with it. too dry and it'll get too hot. it'll run better until it smokes a hose or water splashes on it creating steam and motors dont run good breathing steam. stock sxr has the big brass flush fitting on the head. use the flush outlet/inlet as a pisser and divert some of the water out instead of into the chamber.
