Alright ive lurked in these forums for a while finally decided to sign up when i couldnt find a completely straight yes or no answer to my questions
i have a 91 Superjet 650 and i was not in the best place last year and didnt winterize it properly so this year you guessed it its rusted up (salvageable but for the same price as a 701 upgrade)
What can i use from my 650 onto my new 701 61x/61x?
I have a protec pipe on the 650 so im pretty sure i can swap that over with some minor modification.
i dont believe the reed manifold will work (where can i get one?)
not sure if the upper manifold will work with the single carb setup (if not where can i get one)
I know the CDI will work but how much of a performance hit would it be to keep the 6m6 cdi in?
Stator from the 6m6 should just drop right onto the 61x (right)
i dont have a ton of money considering i just dropped the 700 on a new motor and about 500 in foothold straps and turf.
oh and lesson learned about winterizing now i have a garage to put it in and everything will be done properly this time, not throwing anymore money down the drain
Thank you in advance for your replies the motor should show up on my doorstep on Monday so i will have a week to get this rocket back together
