Dropping gut - the check in thread.

Sounds like yo uguys are doing a good job. I on the other hand am eating everything good in sight trying to gain. Holding around 158-160. Need to be 165 by July 4, not fat all muscle.
 
183 today. Thanks for the encouragement. Need 3 more lbs by the 25th then next goal will be 170 by mid july. Don't know if 170 is possible something is going to slow down real soon. PS. this is work weight, weighed at work after breakfast and coffee with clothes on between 9AM and 9 45 AM. Real weight i am probably below 180 now.

You are very wrong.... taken from wikipedia... "Plain black tea without sweeteners or additives contains negligible quantities of calories, protein, sodium, and fat. Some flavored tea with different herbs added may have less than 1 gram of carbohydrates." I know wikipedia cannot be used as a true source as it can be very misleading so here are two more sources... then decide for yourself. Tea is a very healthy drink... why dont you educate yourselves a bit!

6'-3" 195lbs

I wonder what I should weigh???


not looking to loose weight really, but to gain stamina, up my cardio and tighten up the waist line.
Also, I'm not looking to build muscle mass either, just want to up my fitness a little from where it's at....

I'm 3-5lbs heavier than I'm suppose to be... I think that's about right

Apparently I'm 19lbs over what is considered ideal, should be 203. I think that may be a little light. I'm going to see how much I can/need to drop but I only need to tighten my midsection a little. I'm relatively fit.

Based on that (only use the top 2 recommendations, others are for reference only and are flawed), I should be under 170. I'm at 179-180 now, more to go.
What in the world? The first recommendation varies depending how much your current weight is. I'm only ten pounds away from my ideal weight but won't *meet* my ideal weight for another 20lbs :banghead:. The second recommendation is a range of 40lbs....

The first "Ideal weight" is what people think their ideal weight is, not what it really is. Read the notes.

I have decided to throw myself into this thread. :biggthumpup: A friend and I hired a personal Trainer at our Gym...so we'll see if it's REALLY worth the money.

I am starting out at 5'10" and 156lbs....

been jogging on the beach for the last couple weeks... man, that is not easy.. I run about 2 miles....
 
Up to 1.6 mile at lunch time on the tread mill doing a cardio workout for 20 min. 5.8 miles per hr and some type of incline. But i ate part of a buffalo chicken wrap when i get back to work and now i feel like SH**. time to get the bike out tonight with the kids and then fix the trailer for Sunday.

177.2 today.

Here's the difference in my face in a year. I was around 200-205 last year at Lanier when the left shot was taken, this year at Allatoona I was around 180.

edit: tried to scale both pics for a good comparison.

Good job. I went backwards. I was 165 and climed to 179 in a year.


I've been working on it for 6 weeks and now i'm down to 171.

My goal is 160.
I'm 5'8" tall.
