Driveshaft exchange

Since I got the answer to this (thanks to me and 1 other) I will post it here for others knowledge. You must make sure you press the cone side of the assembly all the way in so that when you thread the impeller on, it does not bind against the venturi. I haven't had time to work on it yet, hopefully today, but I will report if it is anything different.
 
Is there a nut that goes on end of shaft under the cone?????????????:dunno: :dunno: :bad3:

EDIT: Never mind, I looked at the parts Fiche and it shows no nut!!!! Been watching too many old school 1991 hot water tour videos, warping brain.

But, why is that end threaded????????
